How I Lost the Weight (10lbs in 8 weeks)

It’s no secret that losing weight can feel like an uphill battle. Especially after two babies, I had excuses lined up and ready to go. No time. Too tired. Hormones. I’ll start Monday. You name it.


After sharing my weight loss on Instagram recently, my DMs were flooded with questions like:


“How did you do it?”

“I can’t seem to move the scale no matter what I do.”

“How did you even get started?”


And honestly? I get it. I’ve been there. I’d argue most of us have.


Eight weeks ago, I finally reached a point where I didn’t just want to look different — I wanted to feel different. I was ready to stop talking about it and actually commit. So I joined the quarter four 1st Phorm Challenge and decided to take the bull by the horns.

So… how did I actually do it?

If you’re hoping for a quick fix, a magic supplement, or some secret trick — I’m going to be very transparent with you. This wasn’t that.


This was 8 weeks of:

  • Tracking my food

  • Showing up to my workouts

  • Taking daily walks

  • Saying no to treats when they didn’t fit my day


Not glamorous. Not flashy. But effective.


1. I started tracking my food

Tracking food can feel intimidating at first — I totally get that. But like anything new, if you stick with it for a couple weeks, it becomes second nature.


This was the biggest eye-opener for me. Tracking showed me how much I was actually consuming on a daily basis, not what I thought I was eating. Awareness alone changed everything.

2. Accountability changed the game

I truly owe my success to having accountability — and this is where the 1st Phorm app made all the difference for me.


The reason most people can’t move the needle isn’t because they don’t know what to do. It’s because they don’t have anyone helping them make the right decisions consistently — especially in real life situations like holidays, weekends, or stressful days.


Having someone there to guide you, answer questions, and keep you honest is huge. It’s the difference between starting… and actually sticking with it.



3. No guesswork in the gym

Another thing that helped me stay consistent? I didn’t have to figure out workouts on my own.


The app has training programs already laid out — gym workouts, at-home options, everything. No guessing. No wasted time. I just showed up, followed the plan, and got the work done.


Removing decision fatigue made it easier to stay committed, even on days I wasn’t motivated.


4. Prioritizing protein (and making it realistic)

This one deserves its own point.


Hitting my protein was non-negotiable — and also one of the hardest parts for me before, mainly because I had no idea that you should aim to hit your goal body weight in protein. That's A LOT, and sometimes hard to do with food alone.

It tastes more like a juice than a shake, which made it SO easy to hit my protein goals without feeling overly full or bloated. This alone helped with recovery, cravings, and keeping me full throughout the day.

This wasn’t about perfection. I didn’t do everything flawlessly. But I did stay consistent.


I tracked. I moved my body. I held myself accountable. And over eight weeks, that added up to a 10-pound loss — and more importantly, I felt stronger, more confident, and more like myself again.


If you’re feeling stuck right now, know this: you don’t need a total life overhaul. You just need a starting point and the willingness to show up — imperfectly, but consistently.


You’re capable of more than you think. Sometimes it just takes deciding you’re ready.
